    Merrier World Co

    A particular image resonates with me: sitting around a campfire, with a comforting drink, enjoying stories, songs, and jokes with friends, old and new, under a clear cold night sky. I don't think many of us would pity one who aspires to this as a regular part of their life. In his story, The Hobbit, author JRR Tolkien reminds readers to regard food, song, and cheer above riches, resulting in a Merrier World. Though I fail often, Bilbo's selfless act reminds me to strive to add a bit of merriment to the world.
